Low Light Shooting Course (Pistol, Shotgun or Rifle)

This course is designed for students to demonstrate their proficiency while operating their specific weapon system, utilizing hand-held or pistol mounted flashlights, and to fire accurately in low light conditions. The objective is to reinforce safe gun handling, marksmanship and lateral movement while drawing and reloading. Students must demonstrate safe gun handling, lateral movement, hitting all targets with 100% accuracy and 360 degree scan.


Students are expected to have a better than average ability to manipulate their assigned weapons in a safe manner. Live fire exercises are for the purpose of developing the ability to recognize and correct shooting deficiencies. This is not a beginner course. This course will cover different survival shooting techniques.


Students must bring the following range equipment required:


Eyes & ears protection; Brimmed hat; Weapon mounted light or hand held flash light; Semiautomatic handgun with 3 magazines & holster (250 rounds of ammunition); Security or Tactical shotgun with sling (25 slugs, 50 buck shots; 100 bird shots); AR-15 / M-4 platform rifle with sling (200 rounds of ammunition.) (5.56 NATO or .22lr acceptable).
Only approved firearms will be allowed at the range. Firearms will be inspected by the rangemaster.
